Obituary for Winston Sabean

Winston Sabean
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Winston Everett Sabean on May 9, 2017 at the age of 71 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in South Ohio on September 2, 1945 he was a son to the late Joseph Henry and Estella Mae (nee Mullen) Sabean and stepfather Norm Challoner. Winston was a loving husband to Barbara (nee Muise) Sabean for 52 wonderful years. Together they had four children; Everett (Krista) Sabean, Stevie (Laura) Sabean, Laurie (Doug) Steadman, and Carman Sabean. He also has wonderful grandsons that he loved dearly; Steven (Kayla) Sabean, Jarrett Sabean, Hunter Sabean, and Nolan Steadman. Winston also had a great grandson Olsson Maxwell. He is also survived by brother; Joe (Janet) Sabean and sisters; Barbara (Alfred) Hurlbert, and Norma (Garnet) Robicheaud. He was also loved by many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents he is predeceased by sisters, Sarah Challoner and Anna Robicheaud. Winston’s family meant everything to him and he was an important role model to his grandsons. He worked for Aberdeen Paving for 30 years and in his spare time his hobbies included raising cattle, working in his meat shop, gardening and spending time with his little dog Ben who he loved. He was a faithful member of Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church for many years and enjoyed his bible study with his family and friends. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweenys Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held on Monday May 15, 2017 from 1-2 P.M. with a memorial service commencing at 2 P.M. all from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Brazil Lake Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church. We would like to thank the nursing staff from 3 south and Dr. Wertlen at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for the wonderful care they gave our husband and father while he was admitted there. On-line condolences may be sent to: sweenysfh@eastlink.ca or you may sign the guestbook on-line at: www.sweenysfuneralhome.net
A funeral webcast will be available for viewing.
